H-L Girls Take 4th @ SBC Championships

The H-L Girls moved up a spot from 2022 and took 4th in the SBC Championships held at Edison High School Tuesday and Friday. Final scores were Calvert 131, Gibsonburg 114, Danbury 94, H-L 88, Lakota 81, Old Fort 53, Fremont SJCC 45.5, Sandusky SMCC 32 and New Riegel 16.5.
Alivia Roerdink was the lone League Champion, winning the 800. Seconds were gained by Anna Daniel in the Shot Put and the Discus, and Roerdink in the Long Jump and 400. There were no 3rd Place finishes.
Picking up 4ths were the 4 x 800 team of Hannah Schreiner, Abby Oswalt, Emma Hintze and Hanna Wyman, Izzy Frankart in the 100, Hannah Schreiner in the 1600, and Hintze in the 3200.
In addition, Anna Daniel was selected the Girls' Outstanding Field Event Performer for the two day event!

The Lady Chieftains finished 4th in the 12 team Ottawa Hills Relays Friday night. The meet was won by Evergreen with 101 points and followed by Gibsonburg 84, Ottawa Hills 73, H-L 65, Maumee Valley 46, Northwood 46, Rossford 37, Summerfield 17, Emmanuel Christian 13, North Baltimore 4 Stritch Catholic 2 and Toledo Woodward 0.
Taking the lone 1st Place Finish was the High Jump team of Alex Jackson, Maddy Colatruglio and Kendall Eilrich. Getting 2nd Place finishes were the Long Jump team of Alivia Roerdink, Delana Wright and Emily Flores, the Discus team of Anna Daniel, Ava Kirian and Savanah Ley, and the 1600 Meter Medley team of Maddie Jordan, Hanna Wyman, Hannah Schreiner an Roerdink.
Thirds were taken by the Shot Put team of Daniel, Kirian and Laura Cook, the Distance Medley squad of Schreiner, Wyman, Abby Oswalt and Emma Hintze, the 4 x 800 team of Schreiner, Oswalt, Emily Foster and Roerdink, and the 4 x 400 team of Schreiner, Wyman, Alayna Jones and Roerdink.

The Lady Chieftains took the Runner-Up spot at the 41st Annual Dick Schultz Invitational on Saturday at Hopewell-Loudon Track. Final scores were Delta 167.5, H-L 144, Gibsonburg 142.5, Calvert 93, Buckeye Central 73, New Riegel 37 and Bucyrus 24.
Taking 1st Place honors for the Chieftains were Anna Daniel in the Discus, the 4 x 1600 Relay team of Emma Hintze, Alanee Huber, Emily Arbogast and Emily Foster, and Alivia Roerdink in the 400 and 800 meter runs.
Earning seconds were Kara Wyman in the Pole Vault, Delana Wright in the Triple Jump, Daniel in the Shot Put, and the 4 x 800 team of Hannah Schreiner, Hintze, Abby Oswalt and Hanna Wyman.
Thirds were claimed by Ava Kirian in the Discus, Schreiner in the 1600 and 800, and Hintze in the 3200.

The Lady Chieftains tied for 2nd in a very tightly contested meet on Tuesday @ Gibsonburg. Final score was Calvert 68.5, H-L 61, Lakota 61, Gibsonburg 59.5.
Top finishers for H-L were 1st Place finishes in the Shot Put and Discus by Anna Daniel, and in the 800 by Alivia Roerdink. Seconds were taken by Ava Kirian in the Discus, Kara Wyman in Pole Vault, the 4 x 800 team of Abby Oswalt, Emily Arbogast, Emily Foster and Alanee Huber, Emma Hintze in the 3200, and Roerdink in the 400.
Thirds were gained by Roerdink in the Long Jump and Kara Wyman in the 3200.

The Lady Chieftains finished 8th at the Milan Edison Invitational on Saturday. Lexington won the meet, followed by Margaretta, Huron, Vermilion, Edison, Norwalk, Western Reserve, H-L, Fremont SJCC, Norwalk St. Paul, Old Fort and Wellington.
Top Placers for the Chieftains were Alivia Roerdink with a 3rd in the Long Jump and a 5th in the 800, Izzy Frankart with a 4th in the 400 and Anna Daniel with 6th Place finishes in both the Discus and Shot Put.
Other scorers were the 4 x 800 team of Roerdink, Hannah Schreiner, Alanee Huber and Hanna Wyman, Emma Hintze in the 3200, and the 4 x 200 team of Maddie Jordan, Alayna Jones, Hanna Wyman and Izzy Frankart.

The H-L Girls finished 1st in a 5 team meet at Gibsonburg on Tuesday Night. Final Score was H-L 117, Gibsonburg 101, Clavert 69, Old Fort 50 and New Riegel 9.
Taking 1st Place Finishes for the Lady Chieftains were Anna Daniel in the Shot Put and the Discus, Izzy Frankart in the 100 and 400, and Alivia Roerdink in the 800.
Seconds were attained by Roerdink in the Long Jump and the 400, Kara Wyman in the Pole Vault, Ava Kirian in the Discus, Hannah Schreiner in the 800, Frankart in the 200, Emma Hintze in the 3200, the 4 x 800 team of Abby Oswalt, Emily Foster, Alanee Huber and Kara Wyman, and the 4 x 400 team of Frankart, Schreiner, Hanna Wyman and Roerdink.

Final scores were Woodmore 122.5, Clyde 117, Otsego 89, Gibsonburg 71.5, Lakota 61, H-L 58, Fostoria 50, Emmanuel Christian 23, Fremont SJCC 19, Arcadia 16, Maumee Valley Country Day 11, New Riegel 10, Old Fort 9, Stritch 0.
Top finishers for the Chieftain ladies were a plethora of 3rd Place finishes. Anna Daniel took home 3rd in both the Shot Put and the Discus, Alivia Roerdink was 3rd in the 800 and the Long Jump, the 4 x 800 Team of Roerdink, Hanna Wyman, Abby Oswalt and Emma Hintze was also 3rd, and the final 3rd place was the 4 x 400 Team of Izzy Frankart, Hannah Schreiner, Laney Nye and Roerdink.

Lady Chieftain Track & Field came out on top in their 5 team meet at Fremont SJCC on Tuesday evening. Final Score read H-L 98, Gibsonburg 95, Calvert 73, Lakota 64 and Fremont SJCC 19.
Gaining 1st Place finishes for the Lady Chieftians were Anna Daniel in the Shot Put, Izzy Frankart in the 400, and Emma Hintze in the 3200.
Picking up seconds were the 4 x 800 Team of Hanna Wyman, HIntze, Abby Oswalt and Alanee Huber, Alivia Roerdink in the 400, 800 and Long Jump, Ava Kirian in the Discus and Emily Arbogast in the 3200.

The Lady Chieftain Track team finished 5th at the Carey Blue Devil Relays Saturday. Team scoing was Upper Sandusky 112, Carey 110, Riverdale 106.5, Gibsonburg 98, H-L 90.5, Calvert 60, Arlington 31 and North Baltimore 16. All events were relays, and Field Events were scored as three person teams.
Leading H-L were the 1st Place Discus Team of Anna Daniel, Ava Kirian and Cambree Miller. Gainig 2nd Place finishes were the 4 x 100 Throwers Relay of Daniel, Kirian, Miller and Haley Reinhart, and the 4 x 400 Team of Alivia Roerdink, Hannah Schreiner, Hanna Wyman and Izzy Frankart.

The Lady Chieftains opened the season with success, coming out on top in the 5 team Home Meet on Tuesday evening. Final score was H-L 129, Gibsonburg 122, Calvert 96, Sandusky SMCC 65 and Danbury 49.
Leading the way with 1st Place finishes were Anna Daniel in the Shot Put and the Discus, and Izzy Frankart in the 400. Second places were gained by the 4 x 800 team of Hannah Schreiner, Emma Hintze, Alanee Huber and Hanna Wyman, Alayna Jones in the 100, Alivia Roerdink in the 800, Emma Hintze in the 3200, Ava Kirian in the Discus, and the 4 x 400 team of Roerdink, H. Wyman, Laney Nye and Frankart.
