Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Van Buren HS School

The Lady Chieftains won their 3rd straight BVC Championship Saturday in Findlay, winning a very close race. H-L scored 50, followed by Riverdale with 54 and Liberty-Benton with 58. Leipsic, North Baltimore and McComb followed. Taylor Leiter led the way, followed by Renae Kapelka, Corrin Hoover, Ashley Brickner, Emma Shellhammer and Riley Suter for the scoring runners. Leiter took 1st Team League Honors, Kapelka, Brickner and Hoover 2nd Team and Joseph Honorable Mention.
The Junior High Girls also captured the League Title, beating Liberty-Benton in a close race. The scoring runners in order were Alivia Roerdink, Hazel Stone, Izzy Frankart, Bria Crawford, Hanna Wyman, Emma Hintze and Kari Flechtner.
